This policy is compliant with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Information
Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or
Information) Rules, 2011, and is aligned with India’s evolving data protection framework.

order on our platform:

• Delivery information: your delivery address;
• Payment information: UPI transaction references and payment confirmation details
(we do not store full payment credentials);
• Order history: details of past purchases made through Butch.
We may also collect non-personal analytical data (such as page visits, click behaviour, and
device type) to help us understand how our platform is used and improve our services. Any
such data collection will be done in a privacy-preserving manner.

3. How We Use Your Information
We use your personal information for the following purposes:
• To process and fulfil your orders;
• To coordinate delivery with our third-party logistics partners;
• To process payments and maintain transaction records;
• To communicate with you regarding your orders, including status updates and
support queries;
• To send you promotional offers, new listings, or service updates — where you have
not opted out; and
• To analyse platform usage and improve our services.
We will not use your personal information for any purpose beyond those listed above without
your prior consent.

4. Sharing of Your Information
We do not sell your personal information to any third party. We share your
information only to the extent necessary for the following:
• Butcher shop partners: your name, contact number, and delivery address are shared
with the relevant shop to prepare and hand over your order.
• Delivery partners: your name, contact number, and delivery address are shared with
our third-party logistics providers (such as Rapido) to facilitate delivery.
• Payment processors: transaction-related information is shared with our payment
gateway provider to complete your payment.
• Analytics and marketing tools: we may use third-party tools such as Google Analytics
or Meta Pixel to analyse platform usage and run marketing campaigns. These tools
may collect anonymised or pseudonymised data in accordance with their own privacy
policies.
All third parties with whom we share your data are required to handle it securely and only for
the purposes for which it was shared.

5. Data Storage & Security
Your personal data is stored on systems located within India. We implement reasonable
technical and organisational measures to protect your information against unauthorised
access, loss, or misuse.
While we take data security seriously, no method of storage or transmission over the internet
is completely secure. We encourage you to contact us immediately if you suspect any
unauthorised use of your account or personal information.

We retain your personal information for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purposes set out
in this policy, or as required by applicable law. If you request deletion of your account, we will
delete or anonymise your personal data within a reasonable time, except where retention is

about new offers, products, or services on the Butch platform. You may opt out of marketing

Please note that opting out of marketing communications will not affect transactional
messages related to your orders.

The Butch platform is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not
knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we become aware that a minor has
provided us with personal data, we will take steps to delete such information promptly. If you
