1. Our Delivery Partners
Deliveries on Butch are fulfilled by third-party logistics partners, including providers such as
Rapido, Porter etc. Butch does not operate its own delivery fleet. By placing an order, you
acknowledge that your delivery will be carried out by an independent third-party provider and
that Butch’s role is limited to coordinating the pickup and drop.
2. Delivery Areas
We currently deliver to areas within Chennai that are serviceable by our listed butcher shop
partners. Deliverability at checkout depends on:
• The availability of a listed shop in or near your area; and
• The operational coverage of our third-party delivery partners at the time of ordering.
Serviceable areas may expand over time. If your location is not currently covered, we will
notify you at checkout.
3. Delivery Charges
Delivery charges are calculated at checkout based on the distance between the butcher
shop and your delivery address, as follows:
• [Short distance fee, e.g. ₹50] — for deliveries within [5] km of the shop.
• [Long distance fee, e.g. ₹100] — for deliveries beyond [X5 km of the shop.
Applicable charges will be displayed clearly before you confirm your order. Delivery charges
are non-refundable once an order is accepted.
4. Delivery Timeline
We aim to deliver your order within 2–3 hours of order confirmation. Given the fresh and
perishable nature of our products, we prioritise prompt delivery. However, delivery timelines
are estimates and may be affected by:
• Traffic and road conditions;
• Availability of delivery partners; or
• Unforeseen circumstances beyond our or our partners’ control.
Butch shall not be liable for any loss, inconvenience, or spoilage arising from delivery delays
caused by third-party providers or factors outside our control.
5. Delivery Status
Real-time order tracking is not currently available on the Butch platform. If you would like an
update on your delivery status, please contact our support team at support@butch.in and we
will coordinate with the delivery partner on your behalf.
6. Failed or Unsuccessful Delivery
If a delivery attempt is unsuccessful because you are unavailable, unreachable, or unable to
accept the order at the time of delivery, the order will be considered abandoned. In such
cases:
• The order will not be re-attempted.
• No refund will be issued for the order value or delivery charge.
• You will need to place a fresh order if you still wish to purchase.
We strongly recommend ensuring someone is available to receive the order, given the
perishable nature of fresh meat.
7. Product Handling During Delivery
Our third-party delivery partners are responsible for the safe transport of your order from the
butcher shop to your doorstep. Butch does not control the handling practices of delivery
partners during transit. In the event of damage or spillage during delivery, please contact our
support team within 1 hour of delivery with photographic evidence. Remedies will be
assessed as per our Terms & Conditions.
